Education remains to be the priority of all nations around the globe. Most countries devote vast resources to guarantee equal education opportunities to all their students.  Most education systems are developed to meet the economic and social demands of the country, both locally and globally. 

Saudi Arabia is the world’s 8th highest education spender, and initiates an overhaul on the education system. It is the largest country in the Middle East. The Saudi Arabian education has gone through an astounding transformation.

The literacy rate in Saudi Arabia in 1970 was 15% for men and 2% for women. By 1990 it was 73% for men and 48% for women , and, in 2002 it reached 90.9% and 70.2%, respectively. In 2017, adult literacy rate for Saudi Arabia was 95.33 %. It increased from 70.82 % in 1992 to 95.33 % in 2017 growing at an average annual rate of 7.85%.

The objectives of the Saudi educational policy are to ensure that education becomes more efficient, to meet the religious, economic and social needs of the country and to eradicate illiteracy among Saudi adults. The main educational purpose of Saudi education system is to prepare highly qualified individuals, scientifically and intellectually, so that they can perform their best in order to benefit their country and the development of their nation. 

When it comes to technical and vocational training programs and professional programs, Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and Ministry of Education (MoE) played a major responsible role in regulating such education in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Technical and Vocational training courses are the courses that are usually aimed at equipping students with practical skills for a specific profession or field. These courses are tailor-made to make students completely job ready. Its generally aimed at preparing individuals for a specialized career and designed in a manner such as to help you upgrade your skills for that particular career.
